Congratulations to Bernardo M., a Grade 12 student at St. Oscar Romero Catholic Secondary School, who returned from the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) wrestling championship meet in Peterborough with a silver medal in the 89 kg division.
This was Bernardo's first year competing in the sport. As a dual-sport athlete, he is also a member of the Raider football team. This is also the first wrestling medal ever for Romero. Excitement is building for next year, as teacher/coaches Justin O'Neil and John Engel look to add to our success!
