Two side-by-side photos of youth participating in STEM and robotics activities. On the left, a group of students stands in a circle outdoors beneath leafy trees in a courtyard. On the right, a robotics competition robot labeled “6397” sits on a gymnasium floor, with yellow game balls nearby and rows of seated students watching from the sides of the room.

St. Oscar Romero Catholic Secondary School hosted the HIF Grade 8 Transition Course. It gave students an opportunity to gain a credit and make new friends. It was a tremendous success.

Our new Grade 8 students are energetic, athletic, intelligent, and fun to be with. We all had a fabulous time together. We had activities planned every day that were engaging and interesting. Many Romero teachers came out to interact with the students. Each activity was a tremendous success.

We look forward to many more years with our new students. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer.
