St. Joan of Arc Catholic Academy students participated in the Jill of All Trades, providing young women hands-on experiences to introduce them to the possibilities of a career in skilled trades including advanced manufacturing and transportation.

This daylong event offered a packed schedule of activities and hands-on learning opportunities, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for skilled trades. Students were introduced to non-traditional trades and apprenticeships supporting increased college enrollment in trades and apprenticeships, the retention of skilled trades workers, growth in capacity, and the address of gender diversity in the trades.

Through engaging in tasks such as disassembling, building, and operating equipment, attendees gained practical skills and insights into the various trades. By demystifying the trades and showcasing real world applications and opportunities, Jill of All Trades empowers young women to break traditional career molds and consider diverse paths and opening up a whole new world in the trades!
