On April 24, 2025 (Thursday), students from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Academy attended a live rehearsal of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO), accompanied by Ms. Cannon, as part of their music program. This unique behind-the-scenes experience allowed students to observe professional musicians in action as they prepared for an upcoming performance. The visit offered valuable insight into the discipline, collaboration, and technical skill involved in orchestral music, enhancing the students’ understanding and appreciation of the art form. It was an inspiring educational opportunity that connected classroom learning to the professional music world.

"Architects and painters, sculptors and musicians, filmmakers and writers, photographers and poets, artists of every discipline, are called to shine beauty especially where darkness or gray dominates everyday life."

They "are the custodians of beauty, heralds and witnesses of hope for humanity."

"I invite you, therefore, to cherish beauty, and beauty will heal the many wounds that mark the hearts and souls of the men and women of our day."

- Pope Francis
