Dress Code

The wearing of the proper uniform is an obligation incurred by students who chose to attend Bishop Allen Academy. The overall neat appearance of the students contributes to the good order and atmosphere of the school community. Our uniform policy conforms to the “Code of Dress” guidelines of the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), and thus is mandatory. The school crest, found on the various student tops, is a symbol that unites us in faith and community.

Students are expected to wear the school uniform at all times during the school day. If students are not in full uniform, they may not be admitted to class, may remain in the office for the day, may be sent home, and, for repeated violations, may be suspended. Before sending a student home, the school will attempt to contact a parental guardian. Students 18 years and older will be signed out and sent home to change.

Dress Code in TCDSB Schools

All Secondary schools within the jurisdiction of the Board shall adopt a Uniform Dress Code.

Parents are encouraged to review the local dress code at their child’s school and to direct their questions to the principal of the school.
