Collage of three photos of Cardinal Carter students with the artwork they painted. The first artwork is of a dark-skinned woman by the sea, stiching an embroidery that unfolds into flowers, vines, a bear, a bull, a building and an aurora. The second is of an Indigenous woman holding up a fish that she had caught. The third is of a red house in a prairie landscape.

A select group of Grade 11 students from the Visual Arts Department at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts were commissioned to create artwork for Rakuten’s Canadian head office in Toronto. Led by their teachers, Ms. Rossi and Mr. Zachar, they created artwork that were based on the theme of Canada. The artwork will be permanently on display at Rakuten.
