The Grade 7/8 Visual Arts class at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts created poppy sculpture installations to honour those who served and sacrificed in times of war and conflict. Each poppy symbolizes remembrance, gratitude, and hope for global peace. Using mixed media—including natural dead wood and recycled decking—we sought to connect memory with renewal, reminding us to learn from the past while striving for a better future. Through this collaborative work, we invite viewers to pause, reflect, and carry forward the values of peace and compassion.
