The Michael Power/ St. Joseph (MPSJ) Varsity Cheerleading team has been crowned the 2026 Metro Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Division Champions. The team competed at W.A. Porter in Scarborough against five other teams in the Traditional Routine Division.
Despite facing nerves, illness, and the added pressure of competing against their former coach’s new team, the athletes delivered a strong performance to secure the title.
This victory marks an impressive fourth consecutive OFSAA Metro championship for the program.
Congratulations to the team on this outstanding achievement. The Trojans will next compete at the Ontario Trillium Cup Championships in Niagara Falls, where they will aim for gold.
