We are proud to congratulate Owen R. and Alexander C. from Michael Power - St. Joseph High School for achieving first place in the Mobile Robotics contest at the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) 2026! This national event brings together more than 550 competitors from across Canada, showcasing excellence in over 40 skilled trades and technology competitions.
Prior to Skills Canada, Owen and Alexander, along with Insung P. and Max M., first distinguished themselves as the top team at the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) Robotics competitions. They then secured first place at the Skills Ontario Robotics Competition that took place in early May. The hard work, innovation, and teamwork that they have put in throughout the year paid off.
We also extend a special thank you to their coach, Gianluca (Luca) Comisso, whose guidance, expertise, and encouragement played an essential role in the team’s success. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement!
