Senator O’Connor College School's Arts Department is where students find their voice. The study of Arts allows students to increase their executive functioning skills, by increasing their focus, assisting with impulse control, aiding in sequential planning, and furthering their working memory. These learning and innovative skills are what will separate them from the rest. This expressive and creative discipline will encourage and ready students as they navigate the world ahead of them.​

The thriving Arts department at O'Connor offers courses in music, drama, art, and design. Students will have many opportunities to participate in various shows, clubs, and councils all connected the arts.

Senator O'Connor College School students will become familiar with the elements and principles of design, and the expressive qualities of various materials by using a range of media, processes, techniques, and styles. Students will use the creative and critical analysis processes and will interpret art within a personal, contemporary, and historical context. We also offer Visual Design from grade 10 to 12 which are more of the specialized art courses involving graphic design, interior design, fashion design, and many other design careers.  We also offer photography and film for the senior students.
