St. John Paul II Catholic Secondary School's students had a great time in Ottawa gaining some certifications that they need for their respective Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM). Our students all got along well with each other and joined the activities wholeheartedly. As the students came from different SHSM sectors (ICT, Business, and Arts & Culture), there were half day activities for each sector. They all had a chance to learn a little bit about the other areas. They tried coding and VR. They learned about how the Bank of Canada rate changes and affects daily living in a crazy game of "What do you need to live?". The trip was rounded out with a visit to the National Gallery showcasing Canadian and contemporary art, including Voice of Fire and 40 part Motet.
