From Passion to Purpose: St. John Paul II Students Champion Hope for Juliette’s Place

The A-Team from St. John Paul II travelled to the CEC on Wednesday, February 25, armed with remarkable passion, energy, and heartfelt enthusiasm as they advocated for their Hearts and Halos initiative in support of Juliette’s Place. Their powerful storytelling and genuine commitment to making a difference resonated deeply with the judging panel, whose members were moved not only by the cause, but also by the students’ unwavering dedication.

In a unanimous decision, the team earned first place in their division, securing $1,000 in additional funding. They then advanced to compete for the top prize of an additional $1,000, once again captivating the panel and securing the highest possible funding for their cause.

The team now turns its focus to strengthening its partnership with Juliette’s Place, a refuge and source of renewed hope for women and children escaping abuse. The Hearts and Halos initiative supports Juliette’s Place beyond fundraising by assembling thoughtfully crafted care baskets filled with handmade items, clothing, and essential necessities. These baskets serve as a meaningful reminder to the women they support that they are valued and cared for as they navigate their journey toward healing.
