Congratulations to Bishop Allen Academy's varsity girls soccier team for taking bronze in Grimsby at OFSAA (Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations) in their final game.
The girls were outstanding in the group stage having won their group with 10 points. After tying in their first game 0-0, the girls went on to win 2-1, 9-1, and 4-1. They won their quarterfinal by a score of 1-0. After a hard-fought semi-final, the girls lost 3-0 to a very good side. However, they went on to win the bronze medal in their final game.
According to team coach Michael, "We as coaches are so proud of this achievement and our young athletes. It goes without saying that the girls showed tenacity, intensity, an elite work rate and sportsmanship. I speak for myself and Nabil, this has been a pleasure to be a part of this team and above all, this community."
