Relocation Information

Bishop Allen Academy will relocate to the former Don Bosco Catholic Secondary School (2 St. Andrews Boulevard) during construction of its new building.

Pending final approvals, students will move to Don Bosco September 2026, coinciding with the start of the new school year. A final decision on timing will be made by Spring 2026, ensuring families have sufficient time to prepare and plan ahead.

Project Overview

With enrolment growth and 24 portables on site, Bishop Allen Academy has outgrown its current facility. To address enrolment pressures and replace the aging building, the Board secured $36 million in Capital Priorities funding from the Ministry of Education in 2020.

The new three-storey school will accommodate 1,300 students and include:

  • Modern classrooms and labs for science, technology, arts, business, and special education

  • A central chapel for reflection and gatherings

  • A triple gym, fitness room, and theatre arts space with stage and cafetorium

  • Outdoor sports field, six-lane track, and seating with ravine views

  • Student gathering spaces, Learning Commons, and restored walking trails
