The Brebeuf College School community welcomed its newest inductees to the Order of St. Jean de Brebeuf on November 9, 2025. The four winners this year are: Deacon Michael Walsh '73 (also winner of the 2024 TCDSB Alumnus of the Year Award), Paul Solarski (former staff), Shaun Murray '77, and Bavly Kost '08.
The Order of St. Jean de Brebeuf, named for our Patron, is the highest honour that can be bestowed on a member of the Brebeuf community. Recipients are inducted in recognition of achievement that exemplifies the values and ideals for which Brebeuf College School stands, namely: Faith, Discipline, Integrity, Hard Work, Humility, Excellence, Success, Pursuit of the Greater Good, Friendship, Community, and for always being Men and Women for Others.
The Order is open to all members of the Brebeuf community, both individuals and groups, past and present, including: Staff, Students, Alumni, Parents, Supporters, Jesuits, Presentation Brothers and Benefactors.
The celebrations included a special Mass in the school chapel celebrated by our former Chaplain, Father Mike Boutilier, S.J. An induction ceremony and luncheon then followed at the Bayview Country Club with one hundred guests in attendance, including Vince Gasparro '97, Member of Parliament.
On November 10, the inductees returned to their alma mater to share their memories and advice with the Grade 11 and 12 students. It is always special to connect our alumni with current students. This marks the unique bond between our alumni and the school. Once a Brebeufian, always a Brebeufian!
