Contract Awards

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) lists contract awards for Tenders and Requests for Proposals (RFP). The amounts shown are based on the total value over the terms of the contract unless otherwise indicated. The actual amounts for products/ services may vary based on the volumes used during the term of the contract.

Requests for Proposals are evaluated based on the weighted criteria published as part of the RFP document and each component of the criteria is assigned a set of points. An award is based on the overall highest scoring proponent.

Tenders are issued when a project or service requirement has a defined scope of work and detailed specifications. The award will be to the compliant bid that is low and meets specifications.

The TCDSB uses a prequalification process for a number of projects. Prequalification is designed to identify vendor/contractors who have the necessary resources, experience, ability and skills to undertake specific types of work. Tenders for Capital and Renewal projects are issued to prequalified general contractors only. Prequalification for other areas is based on an individual case basis.
