Twenty-three delegates from Francis Libermann Catholic High School's Model United Nations Club (F.L.MUN) participated in the Fifty-Second Annual Iteration of SOMA (Southern Ontario Model United Nations Assembly) in late April. SOMA is the world’s oldest high-school-run Model UN conference, and Canada’s largest. This year, over 600 delegates took to the University of Toronto’s St. George campus for the conference.

The Libermann delegation won 7 major awards at SOMA 2025! This is the most the club has won at a single event. Congratulations to all delegates, and a special shout out to Emily T, Fina G, Al-Amin D, Ananya A, Juliane Pine, Matheus O & Jerone A.

Libermann's Model UN Club has participated in at least three conferences per year since 2022. They have won awards at every conference they have attended, which includes SUNS Montreal, UTMUN Toronto and SOMA hosted by UTS.

"Francis Libermann CHS has been on the Model UN map for a couple years, but is now part of the conversation for sure."
