On May 29, 2025 (Thursday), Francis Libermann Catholic High School hosted a poetry workshop by Anna Yin in honour of Asian Heritage Month. Yin is an award winning poet who has published eleven books of poetry. Her latest collection is called Breaking into Blossom.
Yin shared her experience of immigrating to Canada and learning English. She turned to poetry as a way to discover her truth. She encouraged students to be open minded, curious, and motivated by the beauty of nature.
