Students from Madonna Catholic Secondary School and Brebeuf College School took part in a heartfelt Remembrance Day ceremony at Humber River Hospital this week, joining hospital staff, physicians, nurses, and volunteers in honouring Canada’s veterans and those who continue to serve.
The ceremony began with three students from Madonna Catholic Secondary School performing a moving rendition of the national anthem, setting a reflective tone for the gathering. Later in the ceremony, a student from Brebeuf College School performed the Last Post, offering a solemn tribute to the fallen.
The service brought together members of the hospital community and local schools to pause, remember, and reflect on the sacrifices made in the name of peace and freedom. Participants shared in a moment of silence, recognizing those who served in past conflicts and those who continue to serve today.
The gathering showcased the deep respect and gratitude shared across generations, reminding students and community members alike of the importance of remembering our veterans.
The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) extends its appreciation to Humber River Hospital for welcoming students to take part in this special act of honouring Canada’s military heroes.
