A group of students in the Madonna ESL Club created Parols, the traditional Filipino Christmas star lanterns.

The Filipino Christmas star, called a Parol (pronounced pah-ROL), is a star-shaped lantern made from bamboo and paper, often decorated with bright colours and tassels. It symbolizes the Star of Bethlehem that guided the Three Wise Men and is an iconic symbol of the Filipino Christmas season.

The students were very proud of their creations, and it was a great opportunity for them to celebrate and share an important cultural tradition.
