Madonna proudly hosted a Mental Health and Wellness Fair that brought together our Grade 9 and 10 students alongside visiting Grade 7 students from St. Conrad’s for a day of learning, reflection, and connection.
The event focused on the importance of mental wellness through purpose-driven activities, meaningful discussions, and interactive workshops. Topics included stress and coping strategies, as well as important conversations around drugs, vaping, and alcohol abuse.
Student engagement and thoughtful dialogue were evident throughout the day, highlighting our community’s strong commitment to fostering a supportive and caring environment. Several visiting elementary students even shared that it was the best school trip they had ever experienced.
The success of the fair was made possible by the leadership of our Grade 10 student leaders, the dedication of staff members Allan Griffith, Daniella Venturin, Pauline Flanagan, and Cathy Elliot, and the invaluable support of our community partners from Toronto Public Health, including Dina Majer, Graciela Vecchia, and their colleagues.
Together, the day reinforced an important message for all students: mental wellness is not a one-time conversation, but a vital part of everyday life.
