On Monday, September 21, Madonna Catholic Secondary School officially launched our brand-new House System by holding our first Sorting Week: Four Houses, One Family.
The Madonna House System is designed to help build community, create meaningful and lasting mentorship opportunities for Grade 9 students, and foster healthy competition for all students.
The Madonna Houses are connected to four female saints who all exemplified the Marian spirit: St. Ann, St. Teresa, St. Monica, and St. Joan of Arc. All students and staff participated in a sorting quiz that was developed and administered by the Madonna House Leaders and Prefects, a team of dedicated Grade 11 and 12 students. The House Leaders also created and ran information assemblies explaining the process of sorting.
Over the course of the week, the team will work to sort all students and staff into their houses with the reveal taking place on Friday, September 25.
The team is so excited to bring this new initiative to the Madonna community!
