A distinguished group of Varsity Blues builders and student-athletes will become the newest members of the University of Toronto Sports Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 induction class. Sherwyn Benn, was a four-year captain of the basketball team and steady point guard. Benn helped lead Toronto to the 1996-97 CIAU national quarter-finals and set the program's single-season steals record. A Level III certified coach and teacher at Senator O'Connor College School, he continues to shape the game as a mentor and leader in the basketball community.
