About Us

The Corporate Services division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB)’s 200+ schools and facilities as well as the Board’s financial services and Information and Communications Technology activities.

Corporate Services is divided into the following departments and responsibilities:

  • Real Property and Planning.

  • School enrolment tracking and projections.

  • Admissions and placement.

  • Student accommodation.

  • Acquisition, disposal and leasing of TCDSB properties and real estate.

  • Municipal and land use planning.

  • Education development charges.

  • Community use of schools (permits).

  • Capital priorities rankings / submissions.

  • Toronto Student Transportation Group liaison.

  • Focus on Youth program.

  • Capital Development, Asset Management and Renewal:

    • Design and construction of new schools and additions.

    • Life-cycle replacement and upgrade of building systems and components. 

    • Building and site upgrades related to interior alterations / improvements, AODA upgrades, academic programing, and various system-wide initiatives.

    • School greening and Outdoor Environments Program.

    • Coordination of Ministry of Education facility inspections.

    • Maintenance of Facility Condition Database (VFA).

    • Ministry reporting of facility upgrades (through VFA).

    • Development of long-term Net Zero Strategy and Ventilation Strategy.

  • Environmental Support Services:

    • School custodial operations.

    • Day to day maintenance and repairs.

    • Preventive maintenance program.

    • Operation of heating and cooling plants (HVAC/BAS).

    • Courier and mail delivery.

    • Warehouse distribution centre.

    • Security/monitoring. 

    • Energy/utilities management.

    • Waste management.

    • Support Staff Health and Safety Committee.

    • Environmental Committee.

  • Information and Communication Technology:

    • Technology infrastructure and core systems.

    • Student records and reporting. 

    • End-user computing for staff and classroom.

    • Data management, privacy, and integrations.

    • Communications technology (phones, School Messenger, etc).

    • Technology support for staff and students (Service Desk and Field Support).

    • Cybersecurity.

  • Financial Services:

    • Budget creation, monitoring and reporting.

    • Revenue Entitlement planning and reporting (GSN & PPF).

    • Payroll and employee expense administration.

    • Accounting services.

    • Printshop, mailroom and receiving services.

    • Purchasing and materials management.

    • Audit control and reporting.

  • Partnership Development Services:
