The students and staff of Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School demonstrated their generosity and care for the community by contributing essential items to St. Vincent de Paul Society's local women's shelter.

The FJR Key Club teamed up with HopeTotes, an organization that donates gift bags of everyday essentials to women in need across Canada. The Key Club students raised awareness for this most worthy cause and encouraged each homeroom class to collect items for their bags. Each bag was filled with personal hygiene products for women & infants.

The generosity of the students, families, and staff was overwhelming as they were not only able to fill 50 HopeTotes, but also collected boxes of items. St. Vincent de Paul Society was delighted to receive the donations.

Through actions like these, the Father John Redmond school community continues to strive to represent the purpose and distinctiveness of Catholic education.
