On May 1st, 2025, the Father John Redmond Orchestra travelled to Montreal to perform at the prestigious 2025 Rhythms International Festival. Their performance earned a Superior rating—the highest possible—from all three adjudicators, recognizing their exceptional musical talent.
During the trip, students attended a performance of Ravel’s Piano Concerto by the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal at La Maison Symphonique and enjoyed an inspiring evening of jazz at the Essence Jazz Club.
The orchestra proudly represented the TCDSB with professionalism throughout their stay, including attending Mass at the historic Notre-Dame Basilica.
