On May 13, 2025 (Tuesday), Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School and Regional Arts Centre was honoured to host a delegate of Ukrainian educators. The educators were eager to learn about how our Catholic faith is integrated into daily life and curriculum and how students connect faith-based values with real-world challenges and decision-making. They explored what role school Masses, prayer, and religious celebrations play in building a sense of community among students and staff at FJR. They also learned about how we use art to influence the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills and build self-confidence, and why is it important to integrate art in other subject areas.

The visit and conversations with staff and students made a truly lasting impression on our guests. Our team's openness in sharing their experiences offered insight into the essence of Catholic education in Canada, as well as the incredible achievements of our school in nurturing creativity through the Regional Arts Program. Many in the group were inspired by the warm, faith-based environment and the high level of artistic excellence they witnessed throughout the visit.
