Students and staff at Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School once again demonstrated their compassion and commitment to community service through a successful donation campaign in support of the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s local women’s shelter.

The FJR Key Club partnered with HopeTotes, to provide tote bags filled with everyday essentials to women in need across Etobicoke. In raising awareness for this meaningful cause, Key Club members inspired every homeroom class to contribute items for the initiative. Each HopeTote was thoughtfully packed with personal hygiene products for both women and infants.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of students, families, and staff, the FJR community not only filled 50 HopeTotes but also gathered additional boxes of donated items. The St. Vincent de Paul Society was deeply grateful to receive these much-needed supplies.

Through initiatives like this, Father John Redmond continues to embody the values and mission of Catholic education—fostering faith, service, and compassion in action.
