On June 21, 2025 (Saturday), students from Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School's Music Program showcased their talents at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Mayor’s Trophy Cricket Event, held at Sunnybrook Park. Seamus D., Leonard H., Luca M.-J., and Diego S.—members of the student band The Jacks—delivered an impressive set, featuring both original music and well-known covers.

Performing in front of an esteemed audience that included Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow, City Councillors Josh Matlow and Brad Bradford, and Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw, the band captivated listeners with their energy and musicianship. The event concluded on a high note, as The Jacks led participants through the cricket grounds with a stirring performance of Bobcaygeon by The Tragically Hip.

Congratulations to The Jacks for their outstanding performance, and for representing Father John Redmond and the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) with pride and professionalism!
