The Father John Redmond Cross Country team kicked off the 2025 season with energy, determination, and some fantastic results. After competing in two meets so far, our athletes are already showing the rewards of their hard work and training.
Our season began at Heart Lake Conservation Area, where the team made an immediate impact at the Pre-OFSAA Meet on September 26:
Novice Girls ran an incredible race, winning the team title. Special mention goes to Emme D., who placed 2nd. The Junior Girls also came away as champions, led by Maeve A. in 3rd place.
Senior Girls finished 3rd overall, highlighted by Marisa K. in 7th, with strong support from Tessa M., Juliette A., and Maddie O.
Bagpipe Classic – Erindale Park (October 3)
At the second meet of the season, the team once again impressed:
Novice Girls: Emme D. took 1st place and broke the meet record for her division! She was joined by Madison S. (9th) and Maya L. (13th), earning the team a 2nd place finish.
Junior Girls: The team placed 3rd overall, with Maeve A. securing another podium finish (3rd) and Emilia P. racing into the top 10.
Senior Girls: A terrific effort earned the team 2nd place overall, with three runners in the top 10 — Marisa K. (3rd), Juliette A. (8th), and Tessa M. (10th).
Boys Division: Our boys continue to push hard and improve each week. Their dedication and effort are evident in their results, and we look forward to watching them build even more momentum as the season goes on.
We couldn’t be prouder of how our Redmond athletes have started the season. Their commitment, teamwork, and school spirit shine through in every race, and we’re excited to see what the rest of the season will bring.
Go Red Hawks!
