Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School's Key Club successfully organized a candy drive to support Dr. Andrew Simone's Canadian Food for Children. The collected candies serve a vital dual purpose in underprivileged countries: they act as a treat for children and, crucially, help stimulate saliva production necessary for breaking down food. Dr. Simone distributes the candy to children and adults before giving them meals and medicine.
