Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School welcomed the wonderful Sarah Morrisette and Kayla McDougall from the Toronto Catholic District School Board's (TCDSB) Indigenous Education team to share their knowledge about the exquisite art of Metis beading. Students were taught about the significance of the process, its rich community building, and the deep symbolism Metis beading designs encompass. This session brought students authentic learning in developing hands-on technical skill and resilience when learning how to bead.
Father John Redmond thanks the Indigenous Department for providing such an incredibly rich experience in our school community!
