On May 28, Loretto Abbey had the privilege of hosting the Loretto Abbey Toronto (LAT) Multicultural Night, a celebration of the diversity that enriches the school community. The evening featured vibrant performances presented by the LAT student body.
Cultural clubs such as the African Caribbean Students’ Association (ACSA), Filipino Club, French Club, Hispanic Club, Vietnamese Club, and Italian Club, along with many other dedicated students, worked for months to bring the show to life.
The celebration included performances in dance, music, and poetry, as well as a showcase of diverse cuisine from around the world at the food pavilions. Students and families prepared a cultural tasting experience, allowing guests to explore new flavours and traditions. As guests visited the pavilions, they also had the opportunity to participate in prize draws that highlighted the diversity within the school.
The LAT Multicultural Night would not have been possible without the efforts of the Grade 11 leadership classes and the school’s cultural clubs, supported by their teacher moderators. Special thanks are extended to Ms. Racioppo and Ms. Steele for organizing this memorable event and bringing it to fruition.
