We are thrilled to share that Vianca V., a Grade 12 student and Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) Student Trustee, recently represented the Mary Ward Centre and the IBVM/CJ Loreto Generalate at the International Day of the Girl Summit in New York City from October 7 to 10.
Vianca was selected for this opportunity following her exemplary leadership and dedication to advocacy, both within TCDSB as Student Trustee and through impactful initiatives like the Women at the Heart of Justice Symposium in Ottawa. During her time in New York City, Vianca participated in mission visits with a UN Member State and volunteered in support of the Summit.
Looking ahead, Vianca will also help promote and lead an online global conversation circle on Saturday, November 21.
