World Autism Awareness Day

Every year on April 2, the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) recognizes World Autism Awareness Day.

It is important for all of us to ensure each and every member of our TCDSB family knows that they are respected, valued, and truly belong.

Through local school initiatives, we are signalling to the community that we stand together in support of our students with Autism and show our commitment to spreading kindness and compassion to create a kinder, more inclusive world.

As a Catholic community, let us continue to show our support for students and families who are living with Autism, and our gratitude for the many people who continue to work with them, support them and speak up on their behalf to ensure their needs are met.

The Autism Programs and Services Department of the TCDSB aims to help our schools effectively educate and support students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
