The Science Department offers students a full range of courses taught at the Locally Developed, Applied, Academic, and Enriched levels.

Through 3 fully equipped science labs, students have access to laptop computers and probe-ware for data acquisition so that science becomes a hands-on learning experience.

In addition to our regular course offerings, St. Mary offers IB courses in science. The science courses that are available are Biology (Higher Level) and Chemistry (Standard Level and Higher Level).

The following science courses are available to students:

• Grade 9 – Locally Developed, Applied, Academic and Enriched Science

• Grade 10 – Locally Developed, Applied, Academic and Enriched Science

• Grade 11 – Biology (College, University and IB), Chemistry (University and IB), Environmental Studies (Workplace and College/University), Physics (University)

• Grade 12 – Biology (University and IB) Chemistry (College, University and IB) Physics (College and University)
