Cooperative Education

Cooperative (Co-op) Education is an experience for students to develop work habits, skills, and valuable experience at a work placement outside of the school.

Students are able to assess whether the career path they are on is the right fit for them or to gain basic skills to apply to any future career or workplace.

At St. Patrick Catholic Secondary School, we offer a variety of options for students to gain experiential learning in order for them to “test drive” their possible career(s).

We have 2 credit, 3 credit and 4 credit options available for students to be placed outside of the school in a real workplace.

If your son/daughter wants to gain multiple opportunities but within the school setting, we also offer a DCO3O1 class where students will gain a variety of experiences within the school such as cooking classes.
