Hospitality and Tourism Management

Hospitality and Tourism Management is one of the top areas of growth in the Canadian Service Sector Economy.

This course prepares students to meet the dynamic and diverse challenges in this multifaceted industry.

With both a theoretical and practical hands-on approach to learning, students are introduced to essential transferable work skills, critical thinking and practical problem-solving strategies.

In addition, students develop communication, teamwork and customer service skills that are standard practice in the hospitality industry and prepare them for any post-secondary education destinations, in both business and service sectors.

Using practical, hands-on activities students gain experience with equipment and procedures commonly used in commercial food preparation, baking, event planning, marketing, human resource management, and Tourism Administration.

Courses also examine the cultural and economic forces that drive social trends, world economies and the business side of these sectors.
