Parent Council

Parents and guardians play an important role in the education of their children and have a responsibility to support the efforts of school staff in maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.

The Catholic School Parent Council (CSPC) is a way that parents can communicate with the school and find out what's happening at the school - especially events, trips, and awards for which the school community is proud of.

The mandate of the Loretto College School CSPC is to provide meaningful input to the Principal on a number of significant areas that lead to school improvements, including:

  • Student behaviour.

  • School curriculum.

  • Student needs.

  • School growth and improvement plans.

  • Criteria for the selection of the school principal.

  • Fundraising activities.

  • Ensuring that the Catholic system of education is fostered.

  • Promoting and supporting the best interests of the school community.

The advisory council also attempts to enable parents and students to assume a more responsible and active role in education programs and services.
