Soccer team posing with Champions Award

The senior boys soccer team at St. Mary Catholic Academy (SMCA) has earned the title as 2026 Toronto District Catholic Athletic Association (TDCAA) Senior Boys’ AA Champions, marking another major milestone for the school’s growing athletic legacy.

With this remarkable achievement, the team will advance to the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championship tournament next week in Milton, Ontario, where they will proudly represent the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) for the second consecutive year.

The championship victory has sparked excitement and pride throughout the SMCA school community, as students, staff, alumni, and families celebrate the team’s hard work, determination, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

This accomplishment comes at a particularly meaningful time as Toronto prepares to welcome the 2026 FIFA World Cup and as St. Mary Catholic Academy celebrates its 40th anniversary. The team’s success reflects the school’s growing tradition of athletic achievement and academic success.

Special recognition is also being given to the dedicated community coaches and SMCA alumni who continue to devote countless hours to training, mentoring, and supporting the student-athletes. Their leadership and commitment have played an important role in the continued success of the soccer program and in shaping the next generation of student leaders.

Congratulations to the SMCA senior boys soccer team on an outstanding season, and best wishes as they compete at the OFSAA championship.
