St. Patrick Students Explore Hospitality Skills at HTA 75 Training Centre

On Thursday, March 5, our Hospitality and Tourism Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) students from St. Patrick Catholic Secondary School visited the Hospitality Training Action Centre (HTA 75) for a comprehensive session focused on professional growth.

Throughout the day, students worked toward their Customer Service and Leadership Certifications, engaging with curriculum designed to prepare them for the high standards of the industry. This certification process allowed our students to sharpen their communication skills and explore the foundational principles of effective team management in a real-world context.

HTA 75 is a premier education and training centre for hospitality workers, operated by UNITE HERE Local 75 and funded by the Government of Canada and the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. While our students focused on their certifications, our staff were treated to a tour and food tasting from the centre's new culinary program, which was a fantastic highlight.

Sincere thanks to Sibonile Chimanikire, Sarah De Gasperis, and the entire HTA 75 team for their work to offer such an enriching day for our students! We look forward to their future programming!
