BRAVE Conference
The Black girls Restoring, Affirming and Valuing Each Other (BRAVE) conference is brought to you by our Graduation Coaches for Black Students, and will be held on October 30, 2026 (Friday) at the Catholic Education Centre.
Overall goals of BRAVE:
Reinforcing empowerment of Black girls to celebrate and write their own authentic stories.
Changing the narrative of what it means to be a brave girl, honing on empowerment and motivation.
Support the Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) of the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) to develop responsive learning environments that engage marginalized students.
Support the Equity Action Plan Priority of Dismantling Anti-Black Racism.
Provide a platform for Black girls to share their lived experiences while building allyship and belonging.
Teachers must ensure that all students complete a Media Consent Form and an Excursion Form to attend the event.
