On Saturday, May 24, the Loretto College A-Team will host Yes, Girls Do..., a dynamic female empowerment initiative taking place at Loretto College School. Inspired by the legacy of Mary Ward—who believed that "women in time will do much"—this special event is dedicated to uplifting and empowering young women through a variety of free workshops.
The day will feature hands-on sessions covering a wide range of topics, including boxing, menstrual cycle awareness, life in STEM at the university level, self-defence, support for newcomers, and more. The event aims to equip young women with tools, knowledge, and inspiration to pursue their goals confidently.
Highlighting the day will be keynote speaker Nour Hachem, CEO of Build a Dream, a national organization committed to encouraging young women to explore careers in skilled trades, STEM, and leadership.
Over 100 female students from across the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) have already registered to participate in this impactful event.
