We’re excited to introduce Loretto College School's Mobile Café Cart, proudly run by Mrs. Crudo-Perri’s Food and Healthy Living students—also known as the LCS Café Queens!

The Mobile Café Cart was created to give students hands-on experience in baking and food preparation while also building essential life skills such as financial literacy, responsibility, and positive social interaction. Through this program, students are learning how to prepare items, manage transactions, and confidently engage with staff and peers—and we are already seeing wonderful growth in their communication and confidence.

This initiative has been made possible in part through funding provided by the Experiential Learning Grant from the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), which has helped support meaningful, real-world learning opportunities for our students. Students created their very own mascot, and t-shirts were made for the students to wear as well. Students also took a trip to St. Lawrence Market to check out the different foods available, how to purchase and try a variety of delicious goodies.

The Café Cart rolls through the building offering coffee, tea, and a rotating selection of nutritious treats. With new items featured regularly, there’s always something exciting to look forward to! Our Café Queens are thrilled to share their love of food and service with the Loretto school community.

At Loretto College – we are the small school with a big heart – we believe that when girls are given the tools, encouragement, and opportunities they need, they can become successful women in the future!
