On Saturday, February 7, Loretto College School proudly hosted an inspiring Central Toronto FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) qualifier, welcoming 24 teams from across the province. Students showcased teamwork, creativity, and engineering skill as they competed to advance to the Provincial Championship.

Highlights:

  • 24 student teams from across the province gathered at Loretto College School.

  • Teams demonstrated innovative robot design, strategic gameplay, and strong collaboration.

  • Congratulations to the three teams who qualified and will be advancing to the Provincial Championships!

  • LCS Robotics finished in 16th place and were the 2nd-place recipients of the Connect Award, which is given to a team that excels at community outreach, collaboration with mentors and partners, and building strong connections between the team, their school, and the broader community.

  • Special congratulations to former graduate and founding member of the LCS Robotics Team, Elena Baxter, for winning the Volunteer Award — thank you for your continued dedication and leadership.
