Shrove Tuesday at Loretto College School is always a much-anticipated day on the school calendar, and this year was no exception. The halls were filled with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly made pancakes as the LCS "Kings"—our dedicated male teachers, Catholic School Parent Council (CSPC) Chair, and community members—proudly began the tradition of cooking and serving pancakes to students and staff.

Early in the morning, the "Kings" rolled up their sleeves, set up griddles, and got to work flipping pancakes with impressive skill and plenty of good humor.

More than just a delicious treat, the pancake breakfast is a meaningful way to mark Shrove Tuesday—a day traditionally associated with reflection, community, and preparation for the Lenten season. By taking the time to cook and serve, the LCS "Kings" model leadership through service, reminding everyone that small acts of generosity can have a big impact. The event fostered school spirit and strengthened the sense of community that makes Loretto so special.

Thank you to the LCS "Kings" for starting this wonderful tradition. We look forward to many more Shrove Tuesdays filled with fellowship, laughter, and plenty of pancakes!
