A variety of trust fund awards and scholarships, as well as contests, are available to eligible Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) students, staff and trustees. The list of those that are administered by the TCDSB are listed  on the tabs below. All funds and awards are subject to change without notice.

 
Students are also encouraged to explore other opportunities that may exist through local service clubs, parents’ places of employment or post-secondary institutions.

    The following awards, scholarships and bursaries are provided by organizations/individuals external to the TCDSB.       This award recognizes individuals, groups and employers who help promote immigrant success, economic growth, and inclusion in Ontario. There are three categories – Inclusion and Diversity, Cross-Cultural Understanding, and Business Leadership in Immigrant Employment.

      CUPE Local 1328 Student Bursary
      Open to students from
      CUPE Local 1328 will present four (4) student bursaries to children of CUPE Local 1328 members currently in their graduating year of high school who have been accepted at a post-secondary institute for the fall to pursue a course of study leading to a degree or a diploma from the accredited University or a Community College of their choice. Recipients will be two (2) female and two (2) male. One male and one female bursary will be for University bound students and one male and one female bursary will be for College bound students. In addition to the completed application form, please include a personal cover letter outlining the following: • Contribution/Volunteer work within the school or community • Financial need and/or other personal challenges or obstacles

      In recognition of Michael Monk’s 40 years of service to Catholic education, locally, provincially, and internationally, this award honors a Catholic elementary or secondary school that has led the way by implementing exemplary innovative program(s) to improve the learning of their students. The award recipient must display a sustained commitment to existing student engagement through a new initiative designed to further engage its student community.

      This year the Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario (C.E.F.O.) in partnership with RJ McCarthy’s will award grants to elementary schools up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per school. The total value of all grants cannot exceed $5,000.00 designated to support initiatives in the Catholic elementary schools of Ontario.

      A scholarship shall be awarded to a graduating female student pursuing studies in mathematics: i. Academic standing shall be the main criteria used in the selection of the recipient ii. Financial need, in the broad sense, may be considered as a “tie breaker” in the event that there are a number of students who demonstrate academic merit

A grandchild who is the legal ward of a member in good standing. v. Nominees who have received a Leading Girls Award may be nominated for the Leading Women Award if they have different accomplishments. - must have demonstrated exceptional community leadership to improve the lives of others and have made substantial contributions through volunteer work. - must have worked to improve the lives of others in one of the following ways: 1. Fostering and supporting the participation of women from diverse cultural communities in social and economic community life. 2. Taking initiative to foster communities where women and children can live free from violence. 3. Promoting women’s and girls’ health and wellbeing through education, community service and/or research. 4. Providing young women with mentoring, guidance, coaching and opportunities for self improvement. 5. Supporting women’s participation in their chosen field or endeavouring to remove barriers in the workplace or field of work. 6. Encouraging women to participate in any part of public service.
