Dear Families,
Each fall, once student enrolment is confirmed, schools undertake a process called reorganization. This involves reviewing class sizes and staffing to ensure balance across schools.
As a result, some schools may need to adjust class configurations or teacher assignments. While we understand that changes to your child’s class can be challenging, they are only made when necessary to ensure the Board can continue to provide equitable support to all students.
Rest assured, any reorganization will be carried out thoughtfully, with the well-being of students and staff as our priority and with a focus on maintaining stability throughout the school year.
What is Reorganization?
Reorganization is a yearly process that occurs within the first few weeks of September after schools confirm how many students have registered to attend versus how many have arrived. Because these numbers can vary slightly, staffing and class groupings are reviewed and adjusted to ensure class sizes are balanced and resources are distributed fairly.
When Will Reorganization Happen?
In the coming weeks, some schools and classrooms may see adjustments. If there are any changes that affect your child, you can expect to hear from your child’s principal.
We are thankful for the diligent efforts of our principals in managing these adjustments and for the invaluable cooperation and understanding of our families during this process.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we move forward together.
