Dear TCDSB Community,

As we enter the Christmas season, the spirit of Advent reminds us to pause, reflect, and celebrate the hope that Jesus brings to our lives.

On behalf of the Toronto Catholic District School Board, we send you warm wishes for a season filled with peace, joy, and togetherness. The holidays are a time to recognize the blessings of the past year and the care, generosity, and spirit that make our schools and classrooms so special.

Over the past year, we have opened new schools, celebrated student achievements, led inspiring initiatives, and witnessed countless acts of kindness. These stories and moments are showcased in our 2024/2025 Director’s Annual Report and remind us that we are strongest when we work side by side, guided by our shared values and our faith.

This season of reflection is also one of fun and celebration, as our school communities come alive with the joy of Christmas. Holiday markets, Christmas concerts, nativity plays, and food and clothing drives offer meaningful ways for our students and staff to celebrate, give back, and care for others. These acts of kindness remind us that the values of compassion and service are lived not just at Christmas, but every day.

To share in the joy of the season, we encourage you to enjoy our light-hearted twist on ’Twas the Night Before Christmas.

May your Christmas and holiday season be filled with peace, meaningful time with family, and lasting memories. We look forward to a new year full of opportunities, milestones, and moments that bring us together as a community.

With gratitude and blessings,

Brendan Browne
Director of Education
