Dear TCDSB Families,
As we settle into the new school year, schools are reviewing enrolment, class sizes and staffing. This annual process is called reorganization and helps ensure classes and staffing reflect the student enrolment at each school.
We know that any change to your child’s class can be an adjustment, and principals will approach the process thoughtfully, with student well-being and learning needs in mind.
What is Reorganization?
Schools review enrolment and staffing in the first few weeks of the school year and may make changes to class groupings or teacher assignments based on the students enrolled.
Could This Affect My Child?
Not every school will need to make changes. If your child’s class or teacher is affected, the school will contact you directly.
When Will I Know?
Schools will make any necessary changes as enrolment numbers are finalized in the weeks ahead. Your principal will share information with you if a change affects your child, as soon as the information is finalized.
